MARRIAGES

You may be married by Judge Osterud.  The ceremony is performed in the court building, usually in the courtroom.

Call 419-872-7915 to schedule an appointment for the ceremony.  Most marriages are performed on Friday afternoons at 3:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m., but other days and times are available.  Ohio residents must obtain a marriage license from the probate court in the county where one of you resides (Wood County Probate Court in Bowling Green 419-354-9230 http://probate-court.co.wood.oh.us/ or Lucas County Probate Court in Toledo 419-213-4361 http://www.lucas-co-probate-ct.org/marriageLicense_page.htm) prior to the scheduled marriage date.  If neither party is a resident of Ohio, the marriage may be solemnized only in the county where the license is obtained.  The court charges $15 for the service; the judge does not accept gratuities.

Witnesses are not required, but you may bring anyone you wish to share the event.
