MARY ANN IRWIN RETIRES
FROM PERRYSBURG MUNICIPAL COURT

Perrysburg, Ohio – January 6, 2003 – Mary Ann Irwin retired from her position as deputy clerk for Perrysburg Municipal Court on January 3, 2003.  Mary Ann served the community in this position since 1978, having worked with three clerks of court and two judges during her tenure.

Judge S. Dwight Osterud said, “Mary Ann has been a main stay at the court.  We could always count on her dependability and considerate demeanor.  She was a big help to me and we will miss her.  But I’m excited for her in her new career – spoiling grandchildren.”  Court Administrator Janice Elkes offered more praise saying, "What can you say about Mary Ann.  She did excellent work; being precise, accurate, and knowledgeable.  Mary Ann is one of the most pleasant and kindest people I have known.  Her humor and laughter will be greatly missed in the office.”

Mary Ann is married to Bill Irwin, Vice President of Commercial Real Estate Lending at Fifth Third Bank in Toledo.  Their three grown children - Karen, Bill, and Tom - reside in Perrysburg.  They have two grandchildren, Forest four years old and Julia two years old, children of son Bill and daughter-in-law Brenda.

Judge Osterud is hosting a luncheon at Carranor for the court staff and Mary Ann’s family.  Mary Ann plans to join the ladies golf league, to do some biking and traveling.  She looks forward to having more time to spend with her grandchildren at the pool and sharing other fun activities.
